Alec Hole is an artist and designer who specialises in quirky and humorous digitally based work. He graduated from BA Arts & Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, London, in 2006 with first class honours. The result of the final year project was 'My Big Media ABC', 26 designs in the style of a book designed to help children learn to read, each with an ironic word or phrase. Behind the innocent facade lurks a satirical take on the media, politics and society, intended for adults. A selection of pages can be seen at the URL. The images deal with the media portrayal of today’s issues in a light-hearted way, and allows us to reflect on our situation, wanting to make the right choices but often unsure what to believe.
