 Frequently Asked Questions

So, you've got your files all ready and now it's time to upload them to the Clickwheel site.
Step one is to login into the site using the username and password you chose when you applied for an account. (Still need to do that? Click here.)
Once you're logged in, click the Media Gallery link in the upper right, and from there, click the New Feature button in the button bar at the top of the media gallery listings. Once there, simply fill in the prompted information.
Pay special attention to your iTunes keywords. These are the words that will call up your feature in an iTunes search so choose them carefully. Think of things people would type in when they're just browsing. Would anyone type something as general as 'funny?' Probably not. Would they type in comic? Chances are better. If your comic serves a particular audience be sure to use terms that they may use in their searches. If you'd like some advice coming up with just the right terms, just email us with a description of your series and we can help. And yes, you can always change them later by selecting Edit Feature in the top button bar, so don't worry too much.
You will also need to upload a preview image for your series. Think of it as cover. Your preview needs to be 640 x 480 (just like an iPod comic frame). It displays rather small though so avoid any small type.
Once you've got all of the information fields filled in, hit Create and you're onto creating episodes.
Now if you hit My Account in the top row of links, you will see the feature you just created in your User Features. Click on your feature and you'll be taken to the page that lists your eventual episodes. You will see New Episode in the button bar. It will probably not surprise you to know you should hit that to create a new episode.
This prompts your upload page. Enter an episode name and description as well as 640 x 480 preview (it's a "cover" for just that episode, so make it unique.) You can also adjust the go-live date to upload episodes before they are available for download.
